Read the story aloud.

A cat saw a fat rat. It ran to the rat. The rat sat
on the mat. A man with a hat saw the rat. He
had a bat and a can. He made the rat sit on
the bat and kept a cap on it. So the cat was
sad. It took a nap. The rat came out of the
cap. It ran into the gap
near the tap. The
man came and took
the cat in his van.
