Let’s Get Started Count and colour

Revise numbers 1-19.
l the flowers.
Sing the below rhyme :
l
19 big stars up in the sky,
and then came 1 more.
Count all the stars with me,
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20
20 stars we can see.
Give each child more than 20 ice cream sticks and a paper plate.
l
l Ask them to count 20 and place them on the paper plate. Guide them as
needed during this activity.
Let the children understand that 20 is 1 more than 19.
l
l Show the number flash card to introduce it.
Write the number 20 in the air using your fingers and let the children
l
repeat after you.
l Get children to form number 20 on the sand.
